Savings Opportunity Diagnostic (Social Care)

A comprehensive assessment of how to make savings in Social Care and maintain quality of services

The Savings Opportunity Diagnostic (Social Care) is a comprehensive and customer specific assessment of the potential for the delivery of cash releasing savings whilst maintaining or improving the quality of adult domiciliary, residential, nursing and day care service provision.

Building on the data-driven Savings Opportunity Assessment and the benchmarking of your historic care package data the Savings Opportunity Diagnostic (Social Care) includes:

  • A detailed analysis of the demand and supply patterns (relevant to the type of care being assessed), and identification of opportunities to improve or extend quality and efficiencies in line with the relevant strategy.

  • A detailed supply market analysis, offering insight into the current regional market, and identify quick win opportunities for price alignment resulting from the care package data analysis.

  • A top-level assessment of the RAS algorithm to understand the demand side of service provision.

  • Service design workshops to understand the current processes and associated management information, and then facilitate and develop alternative solutions to current service provision that will yield improved outcomes and cashable savings.

  • Validation of the output of the assessment with relevant social worker and commissioning staff, and finalisation of an implementation plan setting out timescales, resources and budgets.
